For those of you who came of age during the nineties, the notion of a Pavement reunion tour is bound to set your heart aflutter. While never achieving massive commercial success, Pavement’s unholy union of lo-fi punk aesthetics with glossy guitar pop won them a global cult following and set the sonic standard for the genre-formally-known-as alternative rock. The band broke up in 1999 and hasn’t played since...until now. Pavement's now on a global tour which includes four nights in Central Park (Tuesday through Friday).

If you forgot how it sounds, download “Gold Soundz,” a single from the band's 1994 album Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain.
