In 1909, Sergey Diaghilev founded Ballets Russes, a dance troupe that would change the world of classical music and dance. It premiered choreography by Vaslav Nijinsky and the young George Balanchine -- and famously gave the riotous premiere of Stravinsky’s "The Rite of Spring." Biographer Sjeng Scheijen joins us to talk about his book Diaghilev: A Life.
