A stomach bug called norovirus is going around NYC: here's how you can to prevent and treat it

A viral stomach bug called norovirus has been going around the city. The easily spread virus typically causes intense vomiting and diarrhea that last for one to three days, although people can remain contagious for another two weeks after that, according to the CDC.

Dr. Rabia De Latour, a gastroenterologist at NYU Langone Health, talked with WNYC's Sean Carlson about how to prevent and treat norovirus this year.
