About the Interviews

The Douglas P. Cooper Interviews comprise a generous gift to New York Public Radio of nearly 100 radio interviews done between 1967 and 1974 by a highly motivated young man who sought out interviews with leading thinkers, politicians, artists, performers, athletes and others of the day.  Many were done in conjunction with Iona College and later used as part of a commercially syndicated programs distributed to stations around the country, including WNYC. 

What's unusual about the interviews is that Douglas P. Cooper (May 29, 1950 - October 22, 2017) took the time to reflect on them for the web posting.
