Scandal in the Mormon Church, 'The Truffle Hunters,' Mogwai, Queens Drive-In, 'Stray'

Netflix's new limited series, "Murder Among the Mormons," chronicles the bombings that rocked the Salt Lake City area in 1985. We'll speak to directors Jared Hess and Tyler Measom about the events that put the Church of Latter Day Saints in crisis mode.

Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw join us to discuss directing and producing the film, "The Truffle Hunters," which is shortlisted for the 2020 Oscar for Best Documentary Film and opens March 5. The film follows a group of men in Piedmont, Italy, searching for the valuable and rare white Alba truffle.

Sottish post-rock band Mogwai recently released As the Love Continues, their 10th album and the first to hit number one on the UK charts. Guitarist and frontman Stuart Braithwaite joins us for a "Listening Party."

Dan Nuxoll, president of Rooftop Films, and Eric Hynes, curator of film at the Museum of the Moving Image, join us with a preview of films screening at the Queens Drive-In -- their spring season kicks off this weekend. 

Filmmaker Elizabeth Lo joins us to discuss her debut feature documentary, "Stray," which follows street dogs throughout Istanbul, Turkey. Lo's camera reveals as much about how stray dogs move through the world as it does about humans and society at large.
