The husband-and-wife team of Amadou & Mariam, blind singers from Mali, have been bestselling global music artists for almost fifty years. Their list of collaborators includes Stevie Wonder, Coldplay, and U2. The duo has released a new single, “Mogolu,” to serve as a kind of appetizer for this Fall’s greatest hits collection, La Vie Est Belle. The song is a bit of dance-oriented global pop, with Amadou & Mariam’s voices bouncing over a mix of traditional West African percussion and programmed beats.
