Anna Karina Returns to Godard's 'Band of Outsiders'

When the Jean-Luc Godard film "Band of Outsiders" opened at the New York Film Festival in 1964, The New York Times described it as “wildly original, stubbornly modern, characteristically French—and often, thoroughly infuriating.” Like many of Godard’s films from the 1960’s, it starred Anna Karina who became his muse, and his wife. She talks about a new restoration of the film playing at Film Forum from May 6th - 12th. 

Events: Anna Karina will be appearing at Film Forum (209 West Houston Street) on Friday, May 6th for a post-film discussion and audience Q&A after the 7:30 show.

"Band of Outsiders" will be running at Film Forum May 6th - May 12th, alongside a sidebar festival of Karina and Jean-Luc Godard’s six other collaborations including "Le Petit Soldat" and "A Woman is a Woman." For tickets and more information visit Film Forum's website.
