Ask Governor Murphy: Getting chummy with Chris Christie, NJ's teacher shortage and more

Ask Governor Murphy | Sep 23, 2022

Governor Phil Murphy has criticized his predecessor, Chris Christie, on numerous occasions for leaving New Jersey in a mess. So it caused a stir when Murphy and Christie recently took the stage together in Camden to announce a $2 billion investment in Camden’s main hospital. Christie was happy to take part of the credit.

"What governors do when we’re at our best in this state is we build on the successes of our predecessors," Christie said.

We’ll ask Gov. Murphy whether his association with Christie is angering his progressive base, and we’ll discuss the teacher shortage and take your calls. Tune in live, Tuesday, September 27, at 7 p.m. on 93.9 FM, AM 820 or streaming on WNYC.org.
