Ask a Virologist

The Brian Lehrer Show | May 10, 2021

The FDA just approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine for 12-15 year-olds and the CDC is expected to issue guidelines as early as Wednesday.  Brianne Barker, virologist and immunologist, associate professor of biology at Drew University, and co-host of the podcast This Week in Virology, talks about the science behind the decision and answers questions from parents of kids in that age group, plus anyone still weighing their options for vaccination against COVID-19.

Note: Prof. Barker and other virologists around the country offer virtual town halls to answer questions about vaccine science through the American Society for Virology.
