The group called Balún is based in Brooklyn, but all of its members are originally from Puerto Rico, and the band’s sound is a mix of hazy electronic dream pop with Caribbean rhythms. Incidentally, lead singer Angélica Negrón is also a sought-after composer of contemporary classical music. For the first time since March of 2020, Balún makes a return to live music on Saturday night, Aug. 7 at Elsewhere.
