Like virtually every other music festival this month, the annual Winter JazzFest has had to cancel its live performances. But they are offering a series of marathon concerts, streaming live, with performances from a pretty impressive range of musicians: trumpeter and third-generation jazz musician Adam O’Farrill, Iraqi-American bandleader Amir ElSaffar, guitarist Marc Ribot, and harpist Brandee Younger with her quintet are all on the list that these events will draw from. Brandee Younger Quintet, Red Baraat, and violinist Sana Nagano are playing as part this year’s Winter JazzFest online Virtual Marathon Night 3, on Jan. 19. The marathons continue Jan. 20, with other broadcast performances until Jan. 22. If you've missed any of the broadcasts (which began Jan. 14), videos are uploaded daily. Here's the whole schedule.
