Can You Bring Luggage on the Subway Without Others Hating You?
If you drag a giant suitcase onto the subway, your fellow riders are going to have some opinions. For example:
Let me tell you carrying luggage on the NYC Subway is the most garbage thing possible

But is there a way to take mass transit to Penn Station or an airport with your luggage and not cause any problems?
Above, an Australian named Alex demonstrated expert technique getting his suitcases through a turnstile. Once on the train, his advice was, "Just keep 'em close to you and keep your eyes on 'em."
Victoria, from College Station, Texas, had a different takeaway from her week in New York City.
"Travel lightly,"Â Victoria told WNYC at Penn Station, "and travel with backpacks, because that's the way to go. Try not to pack so much. This is my first big bag on the subway, and never again."
What do you think? Is it cool to bring a suitcase (or two) on the subway, and if so, is there a way to do it that's most convenient for everyone around? Let us know in our We The Commuters Facebook Group. And Happy Thanksgiving.
