Catalyst Quartet: Uncovered at The Greene Space (Live Stream)
April 15, 7PM EDT. Free. 

The Catalyst Quartet plays the usual Mozart and Beethoven string quartets, but they’ve also embarked on a series they call Uncovered, which champions music by composers who’ve been overlooked because of their race or gender. On Thurs., April 15, Catalyst Quartet performs a trio of works by gifted Black composers, including Jessie Montgomery, the native New Yorker who is a violinist herself. Her music, as well as works by Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson and George Walker, are on the program as part of a live stream from the Greene Space on Thurs., April 15 at 7PM. WQXR’s Jeff Spurgeon hosts.
