The Welsh singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Cate Le Bon has just released a striking new album called Pompeii. Le Bon’s songs seem to exist in the shadow of catastrophe, and she doesn’t mean the 2000-year old catastrophe of the title. Pompeii is full of songs that take unexpected left turns – like a tune called “Dirt On The Bed.” Cate Le Bon plays Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Feb. 8-9, at Bowery Ballroom.
