Pianist Chick Corea seems to have had several careers simultaneously. A pioneer of electric jazz-rock fusion, but also a straightahead jazz pianist with a personal approach to the standards. And a composer, of both jazz works and classical music. As you might imagine, his list of musical collaborators seems to be endless. Friday night, April 12, he plays with the renowned bass player Christian McBride and drummer Brian Blade, with a guest appearance by the astonishing and still only 15 year old pianist Joey Alexander, at NJPAC in Newark.
