The Movement Revisited: A Musical Portrait of Four Icons is a full-length work for jazz orchestra composed by renowned bassist Christian McBride, honoring leaders of the civil rights movement. Originally composed in 1998, the piece was released on an album in early 2020. On November 11, as part of the TD James Moody Jazz Festival at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, McBride will lead a performance of the work. He joins us to preview it.
