#3689: Cinematic Instrumental Music
Hear cinematic instrumental music from the English composer and vocalist Donna McKevitt, who has recently done soundtrack work for the indie drama “the Fold.” For this New Sounds, take a first listen to her rhythmic, driving and reflective “Suite for Strings.” There’s also solo piano music from German pianist and producer Nils Frahm, from his record “Spaces,” along with music from the Dutch pianist/producer Kettel, who also scores video games. Then, hear music from Canadian pianist/producer/composer Chilly Gonzales, from his forthcoming 2015 record, “Chambers.” Sample music by the Icelandic composer Olafur Arnalds, from his original score to both seasons 1 & 2 of the British series “Broadchurch,” (not to be confused with its short-lived & now-canceled American re-boot, “Gracepoint.”) Plus, music from the duo Moon Ate the Dark, which is Anna Rose Carter (piano) and Christopher Brett Bailey (treatments.) And more.
