City officials offer a glimmer of hope for 'The Hole,' after decades of neglect

The Hole is a long-overlooked neighborhood on the border of Brooklyn and Queens that’s aptly named – it lies an estimated 15 feet below the surrounding neighborhoods. It’s never been connected to the city’s sewer system and floods constantly. City officials are launching yet another push to do something - once and for all.
