Clinton Campaigns in Newark Ahead of NJ Primary

Hillary Clinton campaigned in Newark, New Jersey on Wednesday ahead of the state's Tuesday primary.

The Democrat was introduced by home state favorite Jon Bon Jovi and Democratic Senator Cory Booker, who urged the crowd to turn out to vote.

During her speech at the Golden Dome Athletic Center at Rutgers University's Newark campus, Clinton didn't mention her challenger Democrat Bernie Sanders. Instead, she criticized the presumed Republican nominee, Donald Trump.

"He has praised the dictator of North Korea, he's advocated more countries getting nuclear weapons, something that democratic and republican presidents alike have worked to prevent for more than 70 years," she said.

Clinton promised supporters that if elected, she'd address the high cost of childcare and work to ensure that women are paid fairly.

"I had read so many things about her being not an effective speaker," said supporter Sara Ruth Dorn of Milburn, New Jersey. "I was impressed that she was an effective speaker."

Clinton is hoping to clinch the Democratic nomination in the Garden State's primary.
