How A 'Company Town' Fought Its Polluter

The Leonard Lopate Show | Sep 7, 2017

Writers, directors and producers Natalie Kottke-Masocco and Erica Sardarian join us to discuss their film “Company Town.” At the heart of the documentary is the small town of Crossett, Arkansas, a local pastor and a chemical plant owned by billionaire brothers Charles Koch and David Koch. Crossett has a startling rate of cancer and illness, and the film follows pastor David Bouie as he campaigns against the plant, arguing it has polluted the town and harmed local residents.

"Company Town" opens Sept. 8 at Cinema Village (22 E. 12th at University Pl.)
