Richard “Crazy Legs” Colon & Grand Mixer DXT

The Leonard Lopate Show | Aug 23, 2017

Richard “Crazy Legs” Colon joins us to talk about his career and the “B-Boy Royale” breakdance tournament this week at the NYU Skirball Center. As one of the longstanding members of the Rock Steady Crew, Colon is one of the most recognizable breakdancers in the world. He's joined by Grand Mixer DXT, who will be behind the turntables for the event. Grand Mixer DXT revolutionized the role of the DJ in hip-hop and popular music beginning in the 1970s, and is known as the "world's first turntablist."

Richard "Crazy Legs" Colon and Grand Mixer DXT will participate in The McDonald's "B-Boy Royale" breakdance tournament, which takes place on Aug. 26 at the NYU Skirball Center (566 LaGuardia Pl.). Tickets.
