Connecting Congress: Rep. Israel

The Brian Lehrer Show | Dec 1, 2015

Steve Israel, New York Congressman (D-3) and the author of The Global War on Morris: A Novel (now in paperback), explains how he thinks his constituents should evaluate him and expresses his sense of urgency for climate change legislation.

He also explains his stance against the Trans-Pacific Partnership, saying he will not support any trade agreement that doesn't increase the typical paycheck in his district (which includes northeast Queens and the Long Island towns of North Hempstead, Oyster Bay, Huntington and Smithtown).

You can connect with Congressman Israel by emailing him (follow this link to verify your address in his district) or engaging with him on Twitter.
