Donald Trump became the official nominee during the evening session of the second day of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Here are a few must sees from WNYC's team on the ground.

6. The Speaker has spoken.

The RNC section for New York is seen as House Speaker Paul Ryan says he will dispense with roll call and move on with nominating Donald Trump for his party's candidate for president.

7. Hairy political expressions from Bushwick.

The "Trump Luxury Protesting Hut" traveled to Cleveland from Bushwick. The artists behind the creation are Tommy Noonan, Doug Cameron and Roxana Casillas.

David Griffin of Statesboro, Ga., waves a Donald Trump flag and drove 16 hours to Cleveland because he believes "Trump is the first candidate in recent history to put America first."
