The Deceptively Simple, Complex, and Delicious World of French Desserts

The Leonard Lopate Show | Dec 11, 2014

Author and award-winning chef Dorie Greenspan discusses the world of French desserts and her cookbook Baking Chez Moi: Recipes from My Paris Home to Your Home Anywhere, a mix of contemporary recipes, original creations, and traditional, regional specialties, drawing on her travels throughout France. Recipes include a chocolate loaf cake speckled with cubes of dark chocolate that have been melted, salted, and frozen, adapted from a French chef’s recipe, and a boozy, slow-roasted pineapple, a five-ingredient cinch that she got from her hairdresser.
