Pianist Hélène Grimaud Draws Inspiration from Water

Pianist Hélène Grimaud discusses “Water,” her latest album for Deutsche Grammophon. Grimaud has described the project as “a meditation on the contrasting incarnations of water… and the rhythms and moods its motion evokes.” The album features compositions by nine composers including Berio’s Wasserklavier, Liszt’s Les Jeux d’eau à la Villa d’Este and Debussy’s La cathédrale engloutie. 

Event: Hélène Grimaud will perform Brahms' Second Piano Concerto with Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Philadelphia Orchestra on March 3, 4 and 5.  at the Kimmel Center, 1500 Walnut Street, Floor 17, Philadelphia, PA.
