Donald Trump Wins, But Gov. Chris Christie Trends
Donald Trump won several key Super Tuesday contests Tuesday. But the image that stood out was that of Gov. Chris Christie standing with Trump at his victory press conference.
Viewers fixated on Christie's demeanor and facial expressions. The images quickly spread on social media:
"His were the eyes of a man who has gazed into the abyss, and the abyss gazed back, and then he endorsed the abyss." https://t.co/D83eGAPMRS

"It was like this odd sort of vice presidential position for Christie but everybody on social media thought it was much stranger," said WNYC's Matt Katz.
Aside from the various memes that were created from Christie's appearance on stage, the governor is dealing with other challenges at home. According to USA Today, six New Jersey newspapers, in a joint editorial, have called on Christie to resign. And, former New Jersey Republican Gov. Christine Todd Whitman told WNYC she thinks Christie's decision to endorse Trump was based on his personal future rather than on the best interests of New Jersey.
WNYC's Soterios Johnson spoke to Matt Katz.
