Elvis Costello wasn’t gonna let a little thing like quarantine stop him from supporting the things he holds dear. He recently recorded this at-home version of Nick Lowe’s song “What’s So Funny About Peace Love And Understanding” – a song he first recorded back in the mid 70s – for an online benefit to support the National Health Service workers in the UK. Now, he’ll be joining a starry lineup to support the Jazz Foundation of America, which raises money for musicians who are out of work and out of options. He joins Brazilian legend Milton Nascimento, Afropop star Angelique Kidjo, New Orleans’s Ivan Neville, Sheryl Crow, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and the Hot 8 Brass Band for Thursday’s benefit online concert for the Jazz Foundation of America. Keegan Michael Key hosts.
