Gaelynn Lea via Bandcamp (Live Stream)
Sep. 23, 8PM. $10.

Millions of people have watched this performance of "Someday We'll Linger In The Sun" at one of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts online. The performer is Gaelynn Lea – a violinist, singer, songwriter and disability rights activist who was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, and plays the violin – held in front of her like a cello – in a wheelchair. She also does live looping of the sound to create a rich texture that supports vocals that seem to grow from the folk tradition.  She makes no concessions to her disability, either in her music or her touring.  But of course no one is touring now, so she’s moving her performances online.

That’s "Someday We'll Linger In The Sun" by Gaelynn Lea.  She is doing a live concert this evening via Bandcamp, where each ticket comes with a free digital album.
