In parsing the name of the band Funk Pterodactyl, the 'funk' part is readily apparent. The pterodactyl part? Well, we don’t really have a really solid understanding of what our scaley lizard ancestors were into, so it’s reasonable to assume they enjoyed delicious bass grooves as much as eating cavemen.*

* Please don’t send angry tweets. We are aware there were no cavemen during the time of dinosaurs. But Funk Pterodactyl knows there were still plenty of hot beats during the Mesozoic. The band is at Cake Shop tonight.
