Gig Alert: Gary Lucas - 'The Golem' at Alamo Drafthouse
Tickets: $15. Screening/Performance at 7PM

The 1920 silent film "The Golem" is one of the first major horror movies. Set in the Jewish ghetto of Prague in the 16th century, it tells a Frankenstein-like tale of the creation of a man of clay who’s supposed to protect the Jews but who proves to be impossible to control. The guitarist Gary Lucas has created a film score for "The Golem" that incorporates moody, psychedelic electric guitar work, but also some fingerpicking acoustic moments and even a wry bit of musical humor here and there.

Gary Lucas plays his original music for the 1920 film "The Golem", live to the movie tonight at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Brooklyn.
