Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile are singers, of a sort, and guitarists. They’re both gifted songwriters, creating songs with a sort of cockeyed view of the world and a homey charm. They’re also intercontinental friends – Barnett from Australia and Vile from Philadelphia. They’ve got a collaborative record coming out called Lotta Sea Lice, and a mostly sold-out American tour together this fall.
