Gig Alert: Paolo Angeli at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall
Tickets: $38-$48. Show at 8:30PM.

To say that Paolo Angeli plays the guitar is kinda like saying that Frank Lloyd Wright built houses. Angeli, who is from the island of Sardinia, plays a guitar modified with extra drone strings, a cello headstock, and numerous other gizmos attached to it. They all allow him to become a one-man band, as he draws on Sardinian folk music, jazz, and contemporary classical music in his compositions. Paolo Angeli brings his so-called Sardinian prepared guitar to Carnegie’s Zankel Hall tonight.
