Yohuna is the work of singer and songwriter Johanne Swenson, who’s originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin but is based now in Brooklyn. Her latest album, the oddly named Patientness, isn’t quite a solo project though. It features a rotating cast of musicians and was co-produced by indie rock veteran Owen Pallett. Yohuna’s songs feature dreamy vocals, gauzy layers of electronics, and occasional flashes of gritty guitar. Yohuna is playing tonight at The Glove in Brooklyn.
