Grace Cummings is an Australian singer and songwriter from Melbourne who’s now three albums into her career, and she’s become known for two things: the first, and the one you notice immediately, is her voice – a striking, rich instrument, the kind that can cut through a big production. Which is good because the second thing Cummings has become know for is her love of big productions.  Her new album, Ramona, goes for a dramatic emotional sound, as in the track called “On and On.” Grace Cummings plays May 9 at Public Records.
