Graham Reynolds – "Highway 67" (Weekly Music Roundup)
Even if you don’t know Graham Reynolds by name, you might know his music. Among other projects, he’s scored many of Richard Linklater’s films, including School Of Rock, A Scanner Darkly, and Before Midnight. But his new project is called Marfa – a Country & Western Big Band Suite. It’s a wild, at times almost psychedelic portrait of the wide open spaces of West Texas, and while it has some country-flavored big band music, it also has cinematic tracks, chamber music, and a stomping, twangy rocker, called "Highway 67."
