The Harlem Chamber Players via The Greene Space (Live Stream)
Monday, Feb. 22. 8PM EST. Free.

Carlos Simon wrote his Elegy for string quartet after the shooting deaths of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown. It’s a beautiful but melancholy piece, and it’ll be one of the works that The Harlem Chamber Players bring to The Greene Space tonight.  WNYC’s ground floor performance venue will be the digital host for the 13th annual Black History Month Celebration by The Harlem Chamber Players, and the concert will include Pulitzer Prize winner George Walker’s popular String Quartet No. 1 as well as this Carlos Simon piece.

The Harlem Chamber Players perform "Elegy: a Cry From the Grave," by Carlos Simon, along with works by Jessie Montgomery and Florence Price, in a live stream from The Greene Space on Monday, Feb. 22 at 8PM.
