Harlem Gospel Travelers at Union Hall
Tickets: $10-12. Show at 8 pm.

Gospel Quartets were an important part of the American music scene in the middle of the 20th century. This group of young men from Harlem evoke that classic sound  - they’re called the Harlem Gospel Travelers, and they met when they were all students in the music-education program called Gospel For Teens. They’re now between 19 and 22 years old, and their debut album features their teacher, the noted soul musician Eli Paperboy Reed, on guitar. The Harlem Gospel Travelers perform new gospel creations on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Union Hall.
