For this New Sounds, listen to highlights from the 2014 New York Guitar Festival Marathon concert, recorded at and by Merkin Hall. The program was full of music from both North and South America, and took place on January 20, 2014 (Martin Luther King Day.)   Listen to California guitarist Connie Sheu, playing music from Canada, along with Jorge Caballero playing music by American composer John Major. There’s also music from Uruguay & Brazil performed by the Uruguayan and Brazilian duo, Duo Siqueira-Lima. Plus, hear music from New York Guitar Festival co-curator William Kanengiser, and still more Brazilian guitar music from the Brasil Guitar Duo.
