The Leonard Lopate Show | Jul 21, 2017

Playwright/director Lila Neugebauer and playwright Branden Jacob-Jenkins share what it's like to collaborate and bring a play to life. The two teamed up earlier this year for "Everybody" at the Signature Theater.

Neugebauer recently won a Drama Desk and an Obie Award for, “The Wolves,” her play about a teen girls’ soccer team. She's also directed shows like "The Antipodes" and "The Wayside Motor Inn." Jacob-Jenkins received the 2016 PEN/Laura Pels Award, Emerging American Playwright, and was named a MacArthur Fellow in 2016. His play, "Gloria," was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2016.

This segment of "The Leonard Lopate Show" is guest hosted by Zoe Kazan.
