How Mexican Drug Lord 'El Chapo' Escaped from Prison

A second high profile prison break has put the Mexican government on the defensive. Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, the world’s most notorious drug lord, is on the run after he escaped from a ­maximum-security prison, in Santa Juana, Mexico.

El Chapo or "Shorty" escaped through a tunnel more than one mile long from the Altiplano Federal Prison.

Joshua Partlow, Mexico bureau chief for the Washington Post, has the details on El Chapo's escape.
