The Leonard Lopate Show | Jan 23, 2017

Jonathan Blitzer, a writer and editorial staff member at The New Yorker, joins us to discuss his article “Called Away,” (Online: “The Deportees Taking Our Calls”) in the January 23rd issue. He found that the call centers offer stable work and income, but the deportees are stigmatized and viewed as gangsters.
