I Tried It: 'We Met IRL Queer' speed dating

Dating apps might get all of the attention these days but you CAN still meet romantic partners in real life. And a new speed-dating service is looking to take advantage of a renewed interest in face-to-face interaction.

We Met IRL (yes, that's We Met in Real Life) runs speed dating events in New York City and recently added new sessions for queer singles that sell out quickly. We wanted to learn more, so we're back with another installment of our series, 'I Tried It.' WNYC's Giulia Heyward joins Weekend Edition host David Furst to talk about the experience.
