Inheriting A Deadly Disease

The Leonard Lopate Show | Mar 17, 2017

Joselin Linder joins us to discuss her book The Family Gene: A Mission to Turn My Deadly Inheritance into a Hopeful Future. When Linder was in her 20s, she was diagnosed with a strange and deadly medical condition. After years of investigating medical records and family history, she discovered that it was a genetic disease shared by 14 people in her family. Her book deals with her own story of survival and perseverance in the face of fatal illness.

Joselin Linder will be in conversation with Kate Tellers of The Moth at Greenlight Books (686 Fulton St at the Ft. Greene location) on March 20 at 7:30 p.m.
