Jake Shimabukuro at Joe's Pub, May 6-7
Tickets: $25-55. Shows at 7 and 9:30 pm.

Hawaiian-born ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro has virtually reinvented the four-string instrument, playing melodies instead of strumming rhythms. Shimabukuro became an inadvertent international star when one of his videos of George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” was posted on Youtube and became one of its first viral videos. He's also the rare soloist who actually dares to play Queen’s "Bohemian Rhapsody" on a solo ukulele. Jake Shimabukuro plays his magical ukulele Monday and Tuesday night, May 6-7, at Joes Pub.
