'Loving' Tells the Story of the Couple Behind a Landmark Civil Rights Case

Filmmaker Jeff Nichols joins us to talk about his new film “Loving,” along with Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga, who star as Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple who fell in love and married in 1958, when it against the law in their home state of Virginia. Their landmark civil rights case, Loving v. Virginia, went to the Supreme Court which, in 1967, invalidated laws prohibiting interracial marriage.

"Loving" opens in theaters on November 4th.
