Jerron Paxton is a musical throwback – to the great blues guitarists of the south in the first half of the 20th century. But he’s also a modern guy, adept at multitasking. So you may also see him playing banjo, or piano, or violin. He sings, and regales his audiences with his storytelling. He is one of the regulars at the annual Brooklyn Folk Festival, along with the teenage banjo phenom Nora Brown. The festival also includes guitarist Bill Frisell and composer David Amram. Jerron Paxton, Nora Brown, Zahra Alzubaidi, and the Resistance Revival Chorus are all part of this weekend’s Brooklyn Folk Festival, which runs from Nov. 8-10 with afternoon and evening shows at St Ann’s Church.
