Jess Gillam and Milos via Wigmore Hall (Live Stream)
Sep. 21, 2:30PM. Free, but requires registration.

The 20th century Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla developed a whole new form of tango – perhaps inevitably called Nuevo Tango. Piazzolla’s own instrument was the bandoneon, a large accordion-like instrument, but his music has been wholeheartedly adopted by guitarists, and this piece, called Histoire du Tango, or History of Tango, has been recorded by several guitarists and musicians. On Monday, Sep. 21, the guitarist named Milos and sax player Jess Gillam will play this work, along with songs by John Dowland to Meredith Monk, at London’s famous Wigmore Hall at 2:30PM EDT.
