John Roseboro is a Haitian-American singer and guitarist who spent time living among the Amish and working as a mortician before moving to New York and attracting attention for his songs. Those songs draw heavily on the sounds of Brazilian bossa nova and his music focuses on personal and social justice, undertaking major concepts such as human rights, love, and religion. John Roseboro brings his post-bossa songs to Public Records in Brooklyn on Feb. 7.
