You might’ve seen a big article in the New York Times earlier this month about violinist Johnny Gandelsman, who performed all of the Bach cello suites on violin. Gandelsman brings those arrangements to Bargemusic, the floating concert hall in Brooklyn, for a musical journey that will take him two nights, even if he and the barge aren’t actually going anywhere. Violinist Johnny Gandelsman plays all six of the Bach Cello Suites as transcribed for solo violin, over two nights, June 24 and June 25, at Bargemusic.
