Tibet House Benefit at Carnegie Hall
Tickets: $35-$200. Show at 7:30 pm.

The annual Tibet House Benefit concert at Carnegie Hall always features an outstanding and varied cast. It’s curated by composer Philip Glass, and this year, he’s assembled a lineup that includes Debbie Harry of Blondie, members of the group New Order, Laurie Anderson, Angelique Kidjo, and Late Show host Stephen Colbert. Also on the program is Colbert’s bandleader, the pianist and composer, Jon Batiste. Now, it’s Carnegie Hall, so maybe Jon will play his arrangement of a Chopin Nocturne. Or, maybe he’ll play the Nocturne #1 in D minor, which he wrote himself.  Jon Batiste joins Philip Glass, Stephen Colbert, and the rest of the star-studded lineup at the Tibet House benefit concert at Carnegie Hall on Thursday, Feb. 7.
